Ohnivec means ‘the fiery one’ in Czech. These 20 - 30 cm long peppers are mildly hot and fresh in flavour. Ohnivec mature from light green to red and are edible in all stages with varying heat at the fruits ripen.
This large fleshy, vegetable type chilli is described by one UK seed supplier as "mildly hot" and another as "crazy hot". When fully ripe it certainly packs a punch and will help heat up your culinary creations. Foragers fresh Ohnivec chillies are harvested from plants propagated from seed and grown here on the farm.

Use Ohnivec raw or cooked in omelettes, salads, pasta dishes, or chopped and sprinkled over any meal. salad or soup. Significantly hotter than his more gentil cousin Palivec (the Spicey one).
