We smoke the chillies over oak wood for several hours to give a distinctive, fruity aroma and flavour. Then they are dehydrated to a crisp to take all the moisture out and lock the flavour in.
The smoked chillies are air dried then hand crushed.
20g minimum weight of chilli flakes contained in a neat, reusable glass spice storage preserving jar with rubber seal and metal lever arm to create an air tight seal. Store in a cool dark place.
This product has a long shelf life but flavour will diminish if not used within 6 months.
The sealed bag is made from NatureFlex, a biodegradable and compostable film made from natural, renewable resources.
